About the Diocese

The Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut is part of The Episcopal Church, which is in turn part of the Anglican Communion. This Diocese covers the state of Connecticut.

The administrative offices for the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut are housed in the former home of Mabel Johnson, who presented her house, built in 1913, to the Diocese in 1952. The home is located in the West End of Hartford. All three stories and the basement are utilized. A chapel and a one-story addition, with two vaults for archives, were added later.
